Values-based marketing is when your offer, what you do, and how you do it is all based on your values. Your values can be beliefs and convictions, moral and ethical beliefs, and simply the way you see the world. It is authentic marketing based on your most genuine self, with all your pros and cons taken into account. So, let's talk a little about that.
When you are marketing from a values-based perspective, you not only profess your beliefs, but you live them - every single day! It is who you are at the core. It is when your flow is in direct alignment with your values, and you attract people who love that about you!
When you market from this place, you experience freedom, happiness, inner peace, and truth. You show up in integrity with who you are and what you stand for.
Values-based marketing is essentially attraction and relationship marketing from the standpoint of total integrity. You may be marketing from this place right now.
If you aren't, here are some questions to ask yourself to develop flow and integrity in your online presence putting your values front and center:
- How do you fill your space - office, home, car, etc.?
- How do you spend your time, energy, and money?
- Where are you most reliable and organized?
- What dominates your thoughts?
- What do you dream about?
- What do you talk about to yourself and others?
- What and who inspires you?
- What life goals stand out to you or have stood the test of time?
- What do you love to learn or read about?
If you start creating content in alignment with the above questions, you will be attracting people who align with who you are at the core. And that means you will attract people who will want to know more about you and how you can help them.
Yes, there are still marketing techniques you will need to implement, but if you start with values-based authentic marketing, you will be attracting people who will want to get into conversation with you - and you can take it from there!
